How to Accept Death?

  • Take your time to mourn and don't let other people pressure you into moving forward too quickly. Remind yourself of happy memories, and talk to the person who died, and talk about them to other friends and family so you feel less alone in your grief.


  • Remember the positive influence they have on you - what did you learn from them? Example: I learned from my mom to believe in myself and never stop trying to achieve.


  • Create something to celebrate their life and their legacy. Example: I wrote and produced Anthony's Journey based on my life story and what happened after my mom died.


  • Be OK with accepting and asking for support from family, your circle of friends, and therapists. Share your feelings with supportive people.
